Moth or butterfly?

Today's study
I found this on the way to the beach, unfortunately the ants had eaten it's head. I think it's a moth because it it hairy
Anyone who knows it would be great to find out as I'm thinking of using it for a painting

egg on toast................

Everyday in May 30

birdcage......
..didn't finish this as my egg is getting cold
In HK you don't really find bird houses/feeders as the climate is sub tropical so plenty of food all year round. Some people keep birds as pets, even take them to parks. Pity I didn't have time to go and sketch this and the bird market, but it's inspired me to do it at a later date

Everyday in May 29

EDiM 29, bit of a loose interpretation.. ok not a tap, not inspired by the ones in my home at all (longing for an old one) but a means of controlling water flow

Everyday in May 19

a cupcake.

I don't really like sweet things so I found this recipe on http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/12981/spinach+feta+muffins

added some chopped spring onions  Delicious! and easy to do, even without weighing scales
Not quite as easy to paint as an iced cupcake though, looking at their picture I should have added more tomato but as a first bake very tasty. (I may cook but I don't bake)

lipstick or lip gloss.......I wasn't very inspired by this one

I did think it might be fun to make the shadow from lip prints in watercolour but too much to do

something used for measuring.......

Everyday in May 16

Here's the updated version, as someone who doesn't always follow recipes it is a favourite for me.
It can be a roast vegetable tart, filo pastry pie or adapted for lasagne/cannelloni
.....best done whilst sipping a chilled glass of white wine

Everyday in May 4

The prompt today was draw a bottle/ jar of herbs or spices, but rules are meant to be broken/bent a little, aren't they?
I've been looking for an excuse to draw this Indian spice box for many years. As tomorrow is draw something hot, it has the dried chilli peppers.... I'll be painting them if I have time.
