I thought I commented on the beautifully drawn last post. Is this the same drawing colored? Or is it a new colored version? I had read that for watercolor either the drawing or the color needed to be simplified. This is why my drawings are limited in watercolor. Do you paint over detailed shaded pencil drawings? If so the technique is amazing and very successful. Happy New year!
Thanks everyone. Yes Dan, this is the same one painted. I don't always do it this way usually keep to a few lines (or draw then, erase if I decide to paint it) but this works when you have a relatively dark subject. I guess I just do what the mood takes me.....
