Work gloves, not sure if these are really spots....
I bought these from our local hardware shop thinking they'd be fun to draw.........
they were, and I didn't let myself draw every stitch.
Thanks for all your comments and support on the last post.
Hi Debra, Wonderfully drawn! Tricky drawing white on white. I like the slight tinge of blue/green in the background; lovely!
ReplyDeleteI like the suggestion of stitching contrasting with the more defined spots - it works well, as do the soft greys and yellow. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteThis drawing is lovely! I like how you choose less obvious objects for the themes.
ReplyDeleteEven though you didn't draw every stitch you've still captured a lot of detail. The spots really stand out. Excellent as always!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Peggy. Painting white objects is tricky and you did a wonderful job on this.
ReplyDeleteWow--you conveyed the softness of the knit and the rubbery spots very well! The subtle shading is quite wonderful...and you didn't even need to draw every stitch to accomplish this! ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove the knit texture! So much sensitivity to shadows, so much talent! The highlight on yellow spots really got my attention. Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI am always so amazed with your work and this is no exception. Absolutely marvelous, I love the soft colors and suggestion of the knit stitches. I really appreciate your comments on my blog- thank you!
ReplyDeleteGreat shading and attention to detail. Including deciding how much detail.
ReplyDeleteOf course they qualify for spots!
ReplyDelete:) I used to wear a lot of these to get a better grip on tools and what not. Very nicely drawn and thanks for your comments!
