Whilst I like your detailed still life drawings, the cherries are perfect, I always love to see these slices of HK life. I really like the way you have chosen to only colour the outside.
I love this, especially the contrast between the black and white and the red lettering. It reminded me of an exhibition I went to ages ago, photos showing the history of Liverpool's Chinatown. Really nice work!
I just happen to find this page by searching Google with "Tai Hang"! I tried to find this page earlier thru your blog and couldn't! How bizarre and I am glad now your sketch 'represents' my neighbour. :)
Oh I love this sketch. It reminds me of some of the wonderful ones you did for the sketchbook project.
ReplyDeletelove this piece.
ReplyDeleteIs that laundry hanging out to dry? I love it!
ReplyDeleteI really like the black and white of the building and the laudry and then the shock of color in the plant, writing and the striped awning.
This is amazing! I love the use of limited color - just perfect! I hope your shoulder and wrist is better now :-)
ReplyDeleteTruly inspired. I love it! The awning is especially delightful. I also love the contrasts between color and black and white. Beautiful.
