This is beautiful. It works well in just pencil I think. The orchid is very delicate, and I agree with you that maybe the background could be a little stronger to pull it forward.
Your whole month's drawing are a joy to look at, and give you a great record of Hong Kong things.
Oh yeah, I could see why you scanned this one before coloring it, because the details shown is simply awesome! Still though, I can't wait to see the final version and I love comparing the work in progress and final version side by side... =) that's why I do that on my posts as frequent as possible.
