I couldn't resist this from my local hardware shop....bamboo handle, great simple brown paper packaging.
Want to do more studies but this is number 7 for EDiM.
Admiring the colors, the details, the feathers, the paper, the chinese writing(your chinese writing is really really good) and the overall presentation. And yes, my mom bought one of these to discipline me good ^^
Thanks everyone! I've got a few plans for this duster and its packaging (I may even use it to dust one day) Cathy, it depends what I'm drawing...the shell took 30 minutes because it was small but when I usually work it's A4 size and takes two hours +. I think it depends on what you're drawing...if I've drawn something before it's much quicker as my brain has already worked a few things about that type of object.
I love this one as well, it is an amazing find.
ReplyDeleteEach of your sketches are little works of art, how long does each one take?
ReplyDeleteThis is a great painting Debra.
ReplyDeleteYes, I can see exactly why you wanted to draw this. Lovely and i really like the red against the browns and ochres.
ReplyDeleteGreat sketch! I love seeing your sketches as they convey a world that is completely different from mine.
ReplyDeleteThe orchid from a few posts back is magnificent, I love the way you did part of it detailed and in color, and parts of it rough and unfinished.
What a find! Terrific job on the feathers.
ReplyDeleteYou have such a delicate touch!

ReplyDeleteYour work is so lovely - you show the beauty in 'ordinary things' in such an extrordinary way.
