Om Mani Padme Hum

This is a picture for a friend of mine
Om Mani Padme Hum is one of the most widely used Buddhist mantra.
The lilies and Tibetan writing are made with clay and are in relief.

  1. Wow this is a great blog! How cool to get an artists view of another part of the world! What kind of clay on this one? What kind of surface cany you use clay on?
    Continued success!

  2. I really like the effect of the clay, especially in the writing. (It's more noticeable there, for my screen anyway!) What a lovely gift!

  3. Thank-you. The clay is paper clay and the surface is canvas....it sometimes works and sometimes not....something I've been playing around with for a few years but have begun to find drawing or straight painting a little less frustrating and more productive.
